Newsletter January 30th

Dear 4B Families,

It was nice seeing so many of you at the Open House on Sunday. A special shout out to all of the parents who helped with the delicious coffee and donuts brunch after both masses and to our room parent Lynn Harper for helping to organize it. It was truly amazing! We have a busy and fun week ahead with many special events that will help us celebrate our wonderful school, parish and community. The last part of the newsletter will review the events of the week and include special reminders for the 4th grade in particular.

If you have signed up to take a group of students to deliver certificates on Tuesday, you will also receive an email about the day and your responsibilities.  Thank you so much! Remember, students do have a jeans day on Tuesday but all 4th grade students need to bring a clean red Holy Rosary sweatshirt, sweater or vest to wear during deliveries!

Homework:  Homework will be light this week. There is not a spelling test and we have postponed the SLE test until next Friday the 10th.  There will be some math homework MondayTuesday and Thursday.

ZZ1A90EFBEBecause of the light homework this week, students might want to get started on their Valentine Box Project that is due Monday, February 13th. Hard copies of the directions will be in your child’s filer on Monday,  and you will also be able to access them on our website. This is a fun project—which includes design, math and engineering,—as well as time management. Be creative! We encourage creative reuse of items you already have—

Prayer for Catholic Schools
O Christ, our Teacher,

You invite Your faithful people to make disciples in Your name and to announce good news to the poor.  We thank You for the gift of Catholic schools, where

The message of Your life, death, and resurrection is proclaimed,
Christian community is experienced,
Service to our brothers and sisters is modeled,
And worship of You is cultivated.

Increase our zeal for ensuring that all children and families can benefit from a high quality Catholic education, and that Catholic schools grow in their ability to nurture the soul of our nation.
We ask this through the intercession of Our Lady, Mother of Catholic Schools.  Amen.

Happy Catholic Schools Week 2017
