WHAT TO BRING TO EACH PRACTICE:
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
- Running or Athletic footwear
- GOTR Cinch Sack (includes water bottle, journal, etc.)
- Girls will receive this at their first practice
- A healthy body! If your child is sick, please do NOT send her to practice and let us know immediately as we are being extra careful due to COVID-19.
SAFETY: Girls on the Run coaches will be following COVID-19 safety precautions such as hand sanitizing, wiping down shared materials, asking girls to be 6 feet apart, wearing masks, and more. Please make sure you conduct a health screen of your girl prior to all GOTR practices and remind your girl to wear her mask for the duration of GOTR practice.
In case of COVID-19 exposure or inclement weather, our team may move practices online. We will keep all families updated if this happens.
SNACK: We will be providing a healthy snack for your child at practices. If your child has an allergy, please notify us via email with your child’s allergy.
RUNNING BUDDIES: We encourage each participant to invite ONLY ONE “Running Buddy” to participate in the site-based 5K with them. Running Buddy registration will be an additional small cost (financial assistance will be available) and all Running Buddies will receive a GOTR gift with registration. Running Buddy registration opens April 5th. The Site-Based 5K will be a lot of fun with snacks, special cheer signs, streamers, and celebratory activity to wrap up the 8-week season. GOTR Staff and HRS Staff will be providing more details as the event approaches!
